First Post

 

   So, this is my first post. I have no idea what I'm doing, but here goes nothing.

  To start, I'll explain the blog name and a bit about myself. The name of the blog pretty much just describes how I write. I often have trouble getting out finished/perfected works so it's the idea of getting out random spurts of creativity. My writing is usually fueled by emotion-whether out of boredom or emotional distress-which is why it can be random. Much like a scrapbook this blog will (hopefully) be filled with little snippets here and there of creativity that'll eventually comprise a beautiful and complete work.

    Another aspect of this, is the fact that this definition very much relates to my life and hopefully many others. The idea that random events and circumstances somehow work together to create a beautiful and complete life is evident to all who have watched a life go by. I believe that these events (although random to us) are not random at all but specifically arranged by someone who has seen the complete work already and beyond that. So I will continue to write and live my life in it's compiled events and spurts of creativity, but I will not dismiss it as random. I will carry out every small moment knowing that someday the work will be completed.

  Now for the boring part, Hi...my name is Abby and I...do art. Like...guys, seriously I probably art way too much. I like to do and enjoy all kinds of art. I paint, draw, write, sing, act, and love doing makeup and being crafty as well. I enjoy reading, watching musicals, listening to music (mostly more musicals) and seeing other's creativity. Another random thing I love to do is run. It's more therapy than anything for me. It makes depression/anxiety float away and just makes me feel good. I actually just recently ran a 5k and a 12k race. As for the other things, there isn't a time where I don't crave to create so I'm always doing one of them. Academically, ya I love learning,but school...really? I'm happy to say I'm about to graduate and I am actually very excited for college in the fall despite my distaste for school. I've been home schooled my whole life and don't regret it one bit except it makes me a tad nervous for the different atmosphere of the classroom setting. I suppose I'll write more about me in later posts, but for know that is all I have to say about myself.
